How does the procedure work
The ultrasound enables visualization of tissue beneath the skin’s surface. A smooth applicator will be placed upon your skin and an image that will be projected on the screen. With the same applicator, it is then used to deliver controlled energy at just the right depth below the skin, leaving the surface undisturbed.
With such technology, your doctor will be able to accurately pinpoint the fibro-muscular layer of the skin and deliver the right amount of ultrasound waves. The energy stimulates the growth of new collagen, triggering body’s natural healing response to regenerate collagen fibres.
Gradually, skin will be lifted and smoothen. Patients also note a softening of the creases around their nose and mouth, and a sleeker more defined jaw line.

What can I expect after procedure

What is the difference between Ulthera and Thermage or Titan
Using Ulthera, doctors can see the deeper tissue layers for an even more precise application of ultrasound waves. The pain inflicted by Ulthera is less compared to Thermage. Ulthera is able to work on all skin type and colour.
Thermage and Titan inject heat into the entire thickness of the skin and it is not always effective, and it also causes discomfort. With Ulthera, there is more precision and less pain. One of the advantages of the Ulthera is that the response is more predictable.
Secondly, it does not hurt as much. So, you do not have as much discomfort.
